Title: Marak Peyrot (Cold Fruit Soup)

1mdCantaloupe
6cFresh strawberries
1lbSeedless grapes
4mdApples
1/2cFresh lemon juice; divided
1/2cSugar
6cWater
2cFresh orange juice

1. Peel and seed cantaloupe. Chop coarsely. Hull strawberries and cut in half. Stem grapes. Peel, core, and chop apples. 2. In large saucepan, combine fruit, 1/4 cups lemon juice, sugar, and water. Bring to boil, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes. Puree fruit in blender or food processor and return to soup. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup lemon juice and orange juice. Chill thoroughly. Variation: stir in 1/2 cup chilled semi-dry white wine before serving. Reformatted by Elaine Radis
